Hotel Pickup – 9:30 AM
Your day begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel at 9:30 AM, followed by a journey through some of Cappadocia’s most remarkable sites.
Ortahisar Castle
Our first stop is Ortahisar, where you’ll have an excellent photo opportunity of the striking rock castle that dominates the town’s skyline.
Mustafapaşa (Sinasos)
We then continue to Mustafapaşa, a former Greek village once known as Sinasos. Here, you can explore its charming stone architecture and discover historic Greek churches that reflect the town’s rich cultural heritage.
Şahinefendi & Sobesos Ancient City
Driving through Şahinefendi, we arrive at the recently excavated Roman ruins of Sobesos, notable for their beautifully preserved floor mosaics and traces of an ancient settlement.
Soğanlı Valley – Cave Churches & Hiking
Next, we head to the scenic Soğanlı Valley, where we enjoy a 2 km walk through its tranquil landscape. Along the way, you’ll visit remarkable cave churches, including the Karabaş Church and St. George Church, adorned with vivid frescoes.
Lunch in Soğanlı Village
A traditional lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Soğanlı Village, offering authentic flavors of the region.
Kaymaklı Underground City
After lunch, we explore the fascinating Kaymaklı Underground City, the largest of its kind in Cappadocia. This multi-level city reveals the incredible underground lifestyle of early inhabitants, complete with kitchens, living quarters, stables, and storage areas.
Pigeon Valley & Return to Hotel
We conclude the tour with a scenic drive through the Pigeon Valley, named for its many dovecotes carved into the rocks, before returning to your hotel.
Optional Stop
Depending on government permission, we may also visit the 40 Martyrs Church (Kırk Şehitler Kilisesi) in Şahinefendi Village, an ancient and historically significant site.
